Public Health Renegade | Metabolic Health Educator | Mighty Network Mentor
Mitzi R. Champion is a certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP), health educator, and self-proclaimed “Public Health Renegade” with a mission to help others reclaim agency over their health through metabolic awareness, ancestral nutrition, and lifestyle change.
Armed with a Master of Public Health degree in nutrition and currently pursuing her PhD in Health Sciences with a trauma-informed care cognate, Mitzi bridges science, experience, and common sense. Her work emphasizes root-cause healing over symptom management, and she’s known for challenging mainstream paradigms that label chronic disease as inevitable.
With over a decade of personal and professional experience in low-carb, keto, and carnivore living, Mitzi no longer works with private clients but serves as a trusted mentor in Dr. Ken Berry’s Mighty Network and YouTube community. She also teaches public health as an adjunct professor at George Mason University and works full-time as a contractor supporting U.S. military readiness in standardized power generation.
Mitzi’s own story of reversing chronic health conditions has fueled her passion for educating others, especially those who feel like nothing has worked. Her dissertation research explores the “last resort” mindset of individuals who turn to radical lifestyle change after medical systems fail to deliver results.
Whether she’s speaking at sea, teaching in the classroom, or writing social commentary, Mitzi brings clarity, courage, and conviction to the metabolic health movement. Her message is simple but powerful: You are not broken. You are not powerless. And you do not have to accept a life of managed health decline.
